Through close communication and relentless focus, Ian strives to build robust relationships with clients to solve current problems and prevent future issues.

Ian’s practice focuses on real estate and business matters. He assists developers, investors, contractors, and others with legal issues related to their real estate portfolios and activities, including contract disputes and torts, quiet title, foreclosure and deficiency actions, evictions, excess proceeds, condemnation, partnership disputes and business divorce.

His transactions practice includes drafting, negotiation and interpretation of purchase and sale agreements, leases, finance documents, workout agreements and foreclosures, easements, deeds, declarations and covenants, as well as development agreements. Ian deals with a wide variety of assets including multi-family (specializing in low income tax credit housing projects), multi and single tenant office and retail and industrial properties. He also assists clients with entity formation and transitions through operating agreements, joint venture agreements and similar work.

Ian is an experienced litigator and has handled cases through trial and appeal in all of Arizona’s 15 counties, throughout the United States and internationally. Ian is passionate about ethical, empathetic and focused mediation and has seen how mediation can avoid protracted, divisive and expensive litigation and allow people and businesses to return to what they do best.
